Nassau to Paradise Island
250 Nautical Miles /One Way
Visiting: Nassau, Highbourne Cay, Shroud Cay, Staniel Cay, Exuma Islands, Paradise Island

6 days adventure in Caribbean, Bahama

The Bahamas—conveniently close to the USA, yet truly far away! There is no set schedule for any charter we book in the Bahamas; everything is customised for you! Your charter captain will put together a draught itinerary just for you after discussing the general itinerary of the activities your dream vacation would contain with you. Since you are on vacation and may go wherever you like in the Bahamas, this sampler moves less and gives you much more time to just “hang.” Only the distance between islands, the weather, and the safe operating range of your yacht will be factors in your decision-making.

Nassau
Distance: 0 Nautical Miles
Approximate Travel Time: 0 min

Welcome to Nassau, the nation’s capital and the place where your journey will begin. Atlantis Marina, Albany Marina, or Hurricane Hole Marina on Paradise Island are possible locations where you can meet your yacht. You will be given the day to explore after lunch is served on the yacht. Following your travel to the Bahamas, Atlantis offers a golf course, spa, shopping arcade, and more to help you relax. If you’ve got a quick start, ask your captain to take you straight to Exumas Highbourn Cay!

Known as the gateway to the tropical isles of the Bahamas, Nassau offers everything from family-friendly resorts, stunning coral reefs and striking beaches. The capital of the Bahamas is most famous for Paradise Island, a small islet attached by a bridge that houses the Atlantis Bahamas resort; which needs at least a day to explore. Start your morning with breakfast at the port’s Via Caffe and then cruise the private yacht charter over to Salt Cay – a remote isle with sun-soaked shores and a few eateries. Work up an appetite for a night at the famed restaurant strip, The Fish Fry.

Highbourne Cay
Distance: 35 Nautical Miles
Approximate Travel Time: 0 min

Once you’ve arrived at Highbourn Cay, you can swim in the glistening sea, go for a leisurely stroll, and then relax on the stunning beach. A fast journey to see the iguanas at Allen’s Cay is an intriguing choice once your group has had some time to unwind. At Norman’s Cay, search for the plane disaster in the lagoon. Or simply spend the day beachcombing and using the snorkel equipment on the yacht in the shallow seas off Highbourn Cay!

This private island is a popular destination for yachting, offering a serene and exclusive getaway with beautiful natural surroundings and endless opportunities for water sports. On a one-day yacht visit you can enjoy the island’s stunning beaches, snorkel in its crystal-clear waters, and explore the surrounding islands such as South Allan’s Cay and Iguana Beach, which is home to the endangered Bahamian iguana. Enjoy include fishing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding before putting your feet up and watching a stunning sunset with a cocktail in hand.

Shroud Cay
Distance: 11 Nautical Miles
Approximate Travel Time: 0 min

Wherever you decide to spend the night on your private charter yacht—Shroud Cay or Warderick Wells—the captain will direct the vessel. You can take the kayak from your yacht to Shroud Cay and use it to explore the nearby creek beds. You can also visit the beach and take a short trek. Exuma National Park contains Warderick Wells, where you may find trails that lead to intriguing caves, unique vegetation, and Loyalist ruins. By the end of the day, the crew of your yacht will have you prepared for a private beach barbeque!

Shroud Cay is a small island located in the Exuma Cays chain of the Bahamas. This island has an exciting variation on offer from mangrove creeks to swamps that are uniquely crystal clear! Have a spin in what the locals call ‘the washing machine’, a natural phenomenon where water rushes through a narrow channel in the mangroves, creating a fast-moving current that spins boats and kayaks in a circular motion. The island is a protected area that offers breath-taking views of the local flora and fauna. Make sure you also check out the Thunderball Grotto, which is a famous underwater snorkelling destination. Drop anchor along the beach and enjoy a picnic while soaking up your stunning surroundings, or enjoy the natural beauty of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park

Staniel Cay
Distance: 29 Nautical Miles
Approximate Travel Time: 0 min

Go next to Staniel Cay, which is close by. The social scene is provided by the Staniel Cay Yacht Club for tourists, sailors, and a few locals. Due to its location in the Exuma Cays and its role as the backdrop for a James Bond film, Staniel Cay is a well-liked stopover. To live it up Bond-style with a cocktail in your hand and a spirit of adventure in your soul, check out “Thunderball Cave” here at Staniel Cay. After all, life is short.

Having been the film location of the ‘Never Say Never Again’ and ‘Thunderball’ James Bond films; it’s no surprise that Staniel Cay exudes an alluring beauty not to be missed. Join the resident yachters and visiting celebrities for a sun-soaked lunch at Staniel Cay Yacht Club and discover the magic of Thunderball Grotto; a hollowed out grotto with a natural sun roof that is home to a colourful underwater nirvana. If relaxing on a beach with a book appeals to you; head straight to Town Beach for pristine waters that are a little more secluded.
